AUGUST 15 The line up for Creamfields Malta 2009 which is going to be held on the August 15 at Gianpula Fields, limits of Rabat - has been announced. Featuring Markus Schulz, James Zabiela, Laidback Luke, Umek, Vitalic, Giuseppe Ottaviani and 16 Bit Lolitas. Fridays Fringe presents jazz nights at Bridge Bar, Victoria Gate, Valletta from 21:00. Featuring a selection of local and international artists playing a variety of genres including bebop, latin, fusion and bossa jazz, amongst others. THEATRE August 7 - 9 A Pagoni production of the Moira Buffini play at St James Cavalier. Cast includes Pia Zammit, Jean Marc Cafa, Jo Caruana, Andrew Galea, Timothy Bond and Katie Prosser. Opening hours are by appointment, which can be made on info@maltacontemporaryart.com Until August 29 Exhibition of paintings by James Vella Clark at Art E. Gallery, Victoria, Gozo. Until September 1 A selection of high quality studies, highlighting the stages in producing a painting, ranging from personal sketches to bozzetto`s for clients and patrons, on to scaled drawings, spanning over three centuries of artistic activity in Malta, from the 17th till the 20th century are being exhibited at the Contemporary Hall, National Museum of Fine Arts, South Street, Valletta. Open Monday to Sunday from 09:00 - 17:00 (Last Admission 16:30). September 12 - October 25 Collective exhibition by Maltese and Cypriot ceramists at the Upper Galleries of St James Cavalier. BELLY DANCING Until August 27 Tribal Dance Malta is organising a 10-week belly dance course at Activezone Gym, Msida (next to Junior College). Each course consists of a one-hour class once a week. The Tuesday class starts at 19:30 (except for the first three weeks where it will start at 20:00) and the Thursday class starts at 21:00 each week. The fee for each course is €80. Availability is limited and booking recommended through tribaldancemalta@gmail.com. CALL FOR ARTISTS Until September 1 A call for artists for an exhibition which is to coincide with the upcoming production Censor Me!!! (Banned from theatres near you).
