Zminijietna – Voice of the Left appeals to MEPA not to give in to pressure being made by some who are opposing social housing in the proposed development of Ghirghien in Birzebbuga.
During the MEPA board meeting of 26 June, it transpired that before taking a final decision on the project, the MEPA board was considering whether to include social housing or not in the development.
Zminijietna appeals to MEPA to make sure that social housing is included in the project, in line with the project’s development brief.
If there is anything in the proposed development which MEPA should reconsider, this is the excessive development and lack of further open space.
