‘Tell Gonzi not all is right’, Muscat exhorts voters
Labour leader Joseph Muscat did his bit to get the ailing national vote yesterday by calling on people to send a clear message to government that not everything is as it should be in the country.
Addressing party supporters in Gozo, where he toured Victoria, Gharb and Sannat – which will elect new councils this June – he said people who wanted to send Lawrence Gonzi the signal that the country was not moving in the right direction “had to vote for all Labour candidates.”
He was also accompanied by the vice-president of the Party of European Socialists, Jan Marinus Wiersma.
Muscat was accompanied by MEP candidates, where they toured the capital city Victoria’s commercial zone to talk with shopkeepers and families. In a short message he gave in St George’s square, Muscat reminded his audience of the three main priorities for Labour, namely tackling the cost of living, job creation and illegal immigration.
