Safety recommendations being ignored

Your news item report of a building a handful of seconds from landing being declared ‘danger’ due to low flying aircraft is nothing new.
Some years ago MEPA issued the same warning ‘no liabilities or any sort of responsibility’ to a plot of land earmarked for building – now transformed as a playing field in Luqa.
A stride along the former airfield at Ta’ Qali, where aircraft is just a handful of minutes away from landing, enforced massive concrete building to house the American Embassy and in the same flying corridor, a four-storey building in Mdina Road between Qormi and Zebbug need the same warnings.
Are we totally ignoring the recommendations of those who have the duty and responsibility to control the safe landing of aircraft coming to Malta? It is quite easy to say ‘approved with no liabilities on our part’ and a permit is issued whatever may happen.
