Malta ignores EMF resolution

The European Parliament has adopted, by 559 votes to 22 and eight abstentions, a resolution attempting to address health concerns associated with
electromagnetic fields (EMFs). In effect the resolution requires:
(1) The sharing of Mobile Phone Masts by providers so as to limit
the proliferation of poorly positioned masts and transmitters and
volume of such sites.
(2) The concept of a one-stop-shop (in the case of Malta the MCA)
to authorise and guide the providers as to the locations and positions
of all masts.
(3) It requires the authority (MCA) to assist operators and service providers
in the sharing of infrastructure, in order to reduce the volume of high-risk masts.
(4) It also calls on the Member States to follow the example of Sweden
and to start recognising via legislation illnesses and disabilities relating
to EMF radiation.
Further to the above there is also at present a declaration (47/2009)
open for MEPs to sign which in effect is attempting to limit the
transmission power of Mobile Phone Antennas by drastic proportions. As per ICNIPR (1998), the World Health Organisation accept 9,000,000uw/m2 whilst
declaration 47/2009 is proposing a maximum of 1,000uw/m2.
The variance, for simplicity’s purpose, is being arbitrarily compared to two cars: one driving at 2,847mph and the other driving at 30mph.
