Value of life in Palestine

It is often claimed that Israel demonstrates little value for Palestinian life. The Palestinian leadership is seeking hundreds or even thousands of Palestinians in exchange for one single Israeli soldier. So, isn’t it more the case that the Palestinians themselves consider Palestinian lives to be of little value relative to others?
