Hold-up at Attard confectionary

Police were alerted to a hold-up in an Attard confectionary on Monday evening.
The hold-up took place in Pitkali Road, at around 7:15pm.
Police said an armed and hooded man entered the confectionary and told the sales attendant to hand over the cash. He left the place with just €50 and escaped from the scene. There were no clients inside the shop at the time of the incident and the victim did not suffer any injuries.
Duty Magistrate A. Micallef Trigona has appointed experts to assist him in the inquiry. Investigations are under way.
