Ambassadors’ reshuffle imminent
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to announce changes to ambassadorial posts in France, Tunisia and the UK.
The current ambassdor in Paris, France, Vicki Ann Cremona, is expected to be assigned to Tunisia. She will be replaced by fiscal and corporate lawyer Mark Miggiani, who has served as ambassador in Algeria.
Miggiani was a government consultant in the drafting of the Malta International Business Activities Act in 1988. In 1993, he was appointed legal consultant to the Malta International Business Authority and worked in London with KPMG in the drafting of the new financial services legislation.
Malta’s High Commission in the UK will be headed by a new ambassador, Joe Zammit Tabona, who will be replacing former minister Michael Refalo. Zammit Tabona is a former president of the Malta Federation of Industry, chairman of the Malta Stock Exchange, Finance Malta, and Malta Enterprise.
