How bizarre

Matthew Vella describes the explanation given by the police for their stopping slogans in Arabic, which they did not understand, as “bizarre” (11 January). What I find really bizarre is that an organizer could not help them by telling them what the slogans contained, because she did not know Arabic heself.
Do organizers with a sense of responsibility allow the persons they call upon to demonstrate to write or say things which they, the organizers, do not understand?
