Three coaches damaged in Gzira blaze

Three Ghabbour coaches were extensively damaged after they were caught on fire. Police were alerted to the incident, on Sliema Road, Gzira, at around 2:40am.
Police evacuated residents inside nearby buildings in a precaution against a possible spread of the blaze from the burning vehicles. Members of the Civil Protection Department assisted in putting out the fire. Members of the Enemalta Corporation were also called on site.
Duty Magistrate Michael Mallia is carrying out the inquiry. Police investigations are still under way.
