Clarification

Last Wednesday, this newspaper named Labour MP George Vella as having been critical of the nomination of former Labour minister Lino Spiteri by the PL for the role of President. MaltaToday would like to clarify that Dr Vella has since informed the newspaper that Mr Spiteri enjoyed his respect and had not made any remark or gesture of disapproval to Mr Spiteri’s nomination. Any inconvenience created is regretted.=
