Batik, Mosaic, Photography and Paintings

A small collection of works from the National Collection, recently acquired by the National Museum of Fine Arts. All works are by foreign artists who have exhibited at the National Museum of Fine Arts, and include a silk batik work by internationally-renowned batik artist Sarkasi Said. The exhibition may be viewed at the Gozo Area Exhibition Hall of Heritage Malta, The Citadel, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.

Port Royal

Italian outfit Port-Royal kick off their upcoming European tour with a concert at Sky Club, Paceville. Considered to be one of Italy’s best music exports, Port-Royal is widely renowned for their dreamy atmospheric ambient music which also blends electronica, shoegazing and post rock. Their cinematic soundscapes are complemented on stage by their visual artist Sievo Diamantakos. The night will also feature local DJs Owen Jay and Danjeli. Swan Lake on Ice

Three thousand kilograms of ice will transform the stage at The Mediterranean Conference Centre into a grand and spectacular ice rink, for the first ever local performance of the world’s famous 'Swan Lake on Ice'. Thirty five award winning Russian ice-ballet dancers from the The St Petersburg State Ballet (Russia) will perform this timeless classic ‘on ice’ for the very first time here in Malta. The Story of Babar the Elephant

Unifaun Theatre presents Ben Jonson's classic comedy, directed by Polly March (Royal Shakespeare Company) at the Manoel Theater. The advent of modern architecture in Malta

As part of Din l-Art Helwa’s monthly series of public lectures, Dr Conrad Thake will be giving a talk on the legacy of the Modern Movement in 20th century Maltese architecture. The lecture will take place at Din l-Art Helwa, 133 Melita Street, Valletta and will begin at 18:00.
