Sex and science

I refer to the article by Mr Evarist Bartolo entitled “No sex and science please, we’re Maltese!”(MT 21 December 2008).
For the sake of accuracy it needs to be clarified that since the publication of the 2007 GU report quoted in the article, substantial progress has been made in that,
1. The Sexual Health Policy is nearing completion and should be available in the near future, and
2. STIPC (The Sexually Transmitted Infections Prevention Committee) has been re-appointed and is contributing to the said policy.
