Out of the fire
Seven local female ceramic artists have brought together their work in a collective exhibition at Heritage Malta, Old University Buildings, Merchant Street, Valletta.
The group – Sue Mifsud, Julie Apap, Zell Osborne, Barbara Attard Pettett, Deborah Marmara, Talia Maggi and Rosella Schembri - will be exhibiting an extensive range of ceramic artwork using many of the different techniques and firing methods that this art form allows. Wilfred Owen’s disabled soldier
In the next seminar of the Literature and Comparison series, Dr Bernard Micallef will be presenting a paper entitled 'Revisiting the Traditional Virtues of the Hero: Wilfred Owen's Disabled Soldier' at Hall E of the University Gateway Building from 18:00. The paper illustrates how the disabled soldier in Wilfred Owen’s poem Disabled is a literary construct realized through significant accretions to and reconfigurations of the age-old archetype of the hero. There will be a discussion after the talk.
