Kindly allow me to refer to the news report appearing in another section of the local press, “Floriana housing project at a standstill” (The Times, 15 July, 2008).
On considering that the Triq Argotti (Floriana) housing project has been at a standstill for such a long time, (now for well over one year), as a councillor in this locality I now appeal to the Housing Authority Chairman Charles Borg and the Hon., Minister for Social Policy John Dalli, to recommence the construction of this housing project.
One can also urge the Housing Authority Chairman and the Minister for Social Policy to ensure that, once this project would have been completed, the apartments be given to people originally hailing from Floriana.
