Letters | Sunday, 28 September 2008 Problems with pavements In my opinion pavements are constructed to protect pedestrians from traffic passing on a particular road or street. Hence such pavements are to be designed to accommodate pedestrians, people with pushchairs or prams, disabled persons with their wheelchairs, blind people, and people with other possible handicaps.
