GO gives the facility to choose

Reference is made to the letter “GO Poker” published in Malta Today (Sunday 10 August).
GO would like to state that over the past years it has launched a number of new fixed line tariffs with the aim of giving more value to customers. Based on market research, such tariffs are designed to meet the requirements of various segments of the market. Hence, customers have a choice of GO Plus’s fixed line tariffs and customers can opt in or out of these tariffs according to their personal needs. In keeping with GO’s philosophy of keeping the customer’s needs first, all that is required for customers to opt in is to call our freephone 8007 2121.
Rightly, Mr Cassar stated that recently GO introduced a new tariff – Talk Anytime, which gives GO Plus fixed line customer the possibility to make unlimited free calls to other GO Plus fixed numbers. This tariff does not mean that the previous tariffs, which are still available, are not valid. However customers can switch to the tariff which they think is the most favourable by simply calling our freephone.
This is in line with what other operators in Malta and abroad are doing with regard to the provision of customers with new tariffs, whereby the opt-in method is used based on the customer’s consent.
In no way is GO ripping off its customers when launching such tariffs, as stated by Mr Cassar. On the contrary, GO is giving customers the facility to choose the tariff that suits their needs. In addition, GO regularly advertises its tariffs to inform customers, as was the case with the last campaign on Talk Anytime.
