WHAT'S ON

THEATRE

Final performance tonight
Le Momo
Directed by Stefan Aquilina and forming part of the Evenings on Campus, Le Momo takes the life and work of Antonin Artaud as its starting point.
The performance will bring to the fore the main preoccupations of his work, the most memorable and lasting being ‘The Theatre of Cruelty’. Le Momo does not attempt to present a biography of Artaud. The performance is in fact divided in a number of scenes and each scene stages an aspect or a moment of Artaud’s life, his interest in mysticism, his struggles with the status quo, his asylum stays and death. The cast includes Stephen Apap, Zhang Ruonan, Daniel Azzopardi, Clare Ghigo and Stephanie Cachia Camilleri.
A staple of summer cultural events since ’92, Evenings on Campus present a varied programme of events to the university grounds. This year’s Evenings on Campus is organised by the Koperattiva Kulturali Universitarja and the University of Malta. Tickets at Lm3 will be on sale at all Agenda Bookshops, from the Euro Institute and at the door.
All events start at 8:30pm and will be held on the University Campus, Atriju Vassalli (near the fountain). For further details please call 21 343562 or 2340 3080 or by emailing:eveningsoncampus@um.edu.mt
