Bob Sinclar and Steve Edwards to attract thousands at Xfm Coca Cola Festival at Gianpula fields

The world’s most sought-after DJ, the French housemaster Bob Sinclar, will once again be headlining this year’s Coca Cola X-fm Music Festival, to be staged at Gianpula Fields next Saturday, 21 July. Accompanying him will be Steve Edwards, the voice behind Axwell’s Watch the Sunrise, World Hold On, and Somewhere Beyond. The Festival has gained momentum, with numbers predicted to soar into thousands.
Following last year’s success, with the Festival being rated as the leading event for 2006, the dance music colossus will break away from an incredibly hectic itinerary on mainland Europe to entertain the thousands that are expected to turn up for this second run. The genius behind recent hits such as Give a Lil’ Love, World Hold On and Love Generation, is guaranteed to really turn it on for the crowd.
Eman Pulis, event co-organiser, had these words to say: “We are privileged to have secured the services of two of the biggest names in the music industry. Both Bob Sinclar and Steve Edwards are huge on the world-scale and people’s response has been incredible, even running beyond our very high expectations. The event is by no means a two-man show however. True, the event will culminate with a three-hour set from this French maestro but let us not undermine the huge amount of talent on show for this one-of-a-kind spectacle. Ira Losco, Salt, Scream Daisy and Bitterside are but some of the acts headlining the Rock Arena. We also have Indigo who will be playing some fresh new tracks from her latest album. We have constructed various music arenas playing the best in latino, rock, and R’n’B. The tents will be set out supremely and no costs have been cut to ensure that this really will be the music festival of the year, possibly even one to emulate the most memorable in recent times,” he added.
Stages have been erected, avant-garde equipment in lighting and sound brought on board and, last but not least, an ethnic, chill-out market set up, flower power style that is sure to go down well with everyone in house.
The organisers would like to thank the sponsors for this event, Coca Cola, MTA, Van Gils Fragrances, Chemimart, Melita Digital, the Fortina Spa Resort, Big, Basement, Overview, Juice and WKD.
Further details about the festival are available at www.overview.com.mt and www.basement.com.mt.
Tickets at Lm9.50 and at Lm14.50 for the VIP area are available from all Chemimart, Kodak, K-Optics and Springfield outlets. For further info – 7949 6802.
