A proactive Opposition

Coming up with solutions for demanding situations is not easy. More so when your propositions will be evaluated and grilled by an entire community. But this is what PL leader Joseph Muscat did in Parliament. He put forward a list of propositions on how the ever growing headache of illegal immigration can be tackled. Whether you agree or not with the content, you cannot but acknowledge that Joseph Muscat has acted boldly. The Opposition is no longer there just to oppose, but now also to put the top priorities on our nation’s mind, on Parliament’s agenda. Just the right place where executive decisions are taken. It is the government’s turn to act boldly, and evaluate the PL’s position in a constructive rather than a destructive manner. Our resources are limited. The time left to tackle the situation is limited. The energy we have must be used to achieve a solution, not to lambaste each other.
