Educate children on the value of nature

I’m not happy to know the government hasn’t banned bird trapping. To value birdlife should start at school. When I was at school in Malta all the boys used to like to kill sparrows. I wasn’t happy to see such vile doings; lots of boys had catapults to kill the birds with, but nobody had ever educated the youngsters not to kill birds.
Schools should educate youngsters about birds. Take them to bird sanctuaries to learn about the bird habitats. Teaching about birds and geography lessons go together. Children will learn which part of the country birds have come from.
The government shouldn’t think about their votes only. God has provided these lovely creatures for humans to enjoy not to kill. I am glad I live in England; it’s so nice to watch the birds coming into my small garden with their young hopping about with no one harming them.
