Shame on Gonzi

It irks me a great deal to read that a (possibly) terminally ill person is denied free vital medicine for whatever reason. Especially when, less than a year ago, our Prime Minister authorised hefty increases in the salaries of the Members of Parliament: the largest dose for himself.
To compound this injustice failed Ministers in the previous legislation were given an ex-gratia bonus because they lost their job. Is this the kind of action Dr Gonzi talked about when he first became prime minister (“Not what I say counts but what I do”)?
Exactly, Mr Prime Minister: your actions are much worse than your words. We, the people of Malta, are being coerced to economise in the use of electricity and yet the Prime Minister authorised a final holiday for His Excellency The President. Did he remember to switch off the air conditioner at San Anton before he left?
Dr Gonzi has during the last year lost all sense of fairness. He thumped his chest and declared that he is the boss and he will do whatever he likes. More’s the pity.
Shame on him. but one of these days those backbenchers, who are very fed up, will rise up and declare open war.
