Exhibition by Adrian Scicluna at the Main Hall of St James Cavalier dealing with various aspects of local urbanization, using some popular games as metaphors.

An exhibition by Heritage Malta in collaboration with the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts (MCCA) featuring works by Victor Pasmore at the Gozo Area Exhibition Hall of Heritage Malta, St Martin’s Quarters, The Citadel, Gozo. Free Entrance. Open Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (last admission 15:30).

Rosamund-Berlinskaia chamber concert

Ludmila Berlinskaia, daughter of the legendary Russian cellist Valentin Berlinsky, will feature as the pianist in this year’s highlight of chamber music concerts at the Manoel Theatre. She will be joining forces with one of today’s most important and innovative string quartets, the Rosamund Quartet. The concert, which is being presented in collaboration with the German Embassy, will include some of the best-loved repertoire of chamber music. Bookings: www.teatrumanoel.com.mt. Doom Metal Assault Vol. 1

Cumshaft

The classic rock band, featuring Rex (Xtruppaw, Norm Rejection) on bass, Kevin Vella (Ivan Filletti, NV) on guitar and Michael Briguglio (Norm Rejection, Dripht) on drums will be playing at Play Rock, Paceville. Doors open at 22:00. Entrance is free.

Porn - The Musical
Original new comedy musical is written by Malcolm Galea, Kris Spiteri, and Boris Cezek - collectively known as Indiskarf - at MITP, St Christopher's Street, Valletta. Stefan leaves Malta for America after discovering some upsetting details about his fiancé’s sex life.

March 20 - 22; 27 - 29
Devil’s Advocate

Unifaun Theatre Productions will be staging Donald Freed’s play, as directed by Michael Fenech. The two-hander will feature Manuel Cauchi and Paul Portelli. The play is based on dialogues between Mons Laboa and General Noriega before the latter’s capture by American soldiers in Panama. Bookings: boxoffice@sjcav.org or 21223216. Tickets on March 20 will be sold at a concessionary price of €12. Tickets on all other nights are at €15.

Turkish Star Wars

Kinemastik will be presenting Turkish Star Wars as the main feature of the next edition of 68 film club, held at 68, St Lucy Street, Valletta. The film will be preceded by a short feature entitled Discover Hip-Hop at 8:15. Suggested donation is at €2. Kinemastik@gmail.com

QUIZ NIGHT

Snoopy’s Pub Quiz

Quiz at Snoopy’s Bar and Restaurant, Sliema starts at 20:30. The format of the event follows a typical UK pub quiz format: each table booked is considered to be a team. Quiz packs containing 40 questions on different topics are given out to each team, who would in turn be given an hour’s time limit to fill in their answers. After the hour elapses, correct answers will be called out by the quizmaster, after which the winning table is announced. Winners receive a €20 discount off their bill. A free bottle of The Stump Jump (Australia), imported by Bicanter Wines, will be given to the winning table and runners up. Participation is set at €2 per person.
