Ghadira Coalition appeals for scientific studies

The Ghadira Coalition, which is made up of various environmental, social and political organisations as well as farmers’ representatives, appeals for scientific studies which prove the need for the road project as proposed by the Ministry responsible for roads.
Government’s proposal should not be hurried. Proper public consultation and credible scientific studies are required, covering ecological, social, economic and other aspects on the basis of sustainability. After this process is carried out, everyone would be in a better position to discuss the need or otherwise of such development.
Ghadira Coalition is made up of Alternattiva Demokratika The Green Party, Zminijietna – Voice of the Left, Science Students’ Society, Moviment Graffitti, Friends of the Earth Malta, Inizjamed, Labour Youth Forum, Greenhouse, General Workers’ Union Youths, in addition to farmers’ representatives.
