From door to door, to telephone pestering

There seems to have been a switch from door to door pestering, to telephone pestering. At least six times a day, my family and I, and surely also other families, receive telephone calls to buy products ranging from detergents to insurance policies.
This practice is becoming really unbearable, particularly because of the times these sellers chose to phone households. I love my siesta on a Saturday afternoon after a week of hard work and I absolutely hate to be disturbed between 2pm and 4pm by these pests.
I would like to point out that I pay for my telephone to be used by my family and not for these pests to sell their products.
