Marsaskala VAT probe

I refer to the article dated Sunday 15 February (Local councils minister requests Marsaskala VAT probe results).
Once again your correspondent chose to publish stale stories about a VAT investigation regarding the Council’s magazine. I advise your correspondent to check the Local Council’s minutes of its meetings, and it will not take him long to come to the conclusion that neither the Council nor I have anything to do with adverts published in said magazine. That is why I never was in a position to produce any receipt. The printing and publishing of the magazine was done so by contract with a third party.
I think you know that before starting publishing the magazine, I approached your company offering a deal on similar lines. Your company accepted and the deal did not come to fruition because the person engaged by your company to manage the enterprise was unluckily hit by a personal family tragedy.
