The Police drug squad has arrested a 27-year-old man from Zabbar over a drug seizure of cannabis resin, heroine and cocaine.
Police were tipped off that the man was selling the drugs, and observed his movements before arresting him next to the Zabbar bus terminus.
Police said the man assaulted officers as they tried to stop him to conduct a search on him. The police managed to arrest the man, and found 16 packets of cocaine and nine packets of heroin. The man’s brother, 42, was also arrested.
Duty Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona has appointed various experts to assist him in his inquiry.
