Police Commissioner: ‘I’ve worked with Father Crime’

Police Commissioner John Rizzo made the blunder of the week last Tuesday when he referred to Fr Mark Montebello as “Fr Crime” on TVM programme Dissett.
Rizzo was talking about how the police force was helping victims of crime by informing them of Fr Montebello’s voluntary organisation that deals with victims.
“I’ve worked with Fr Crime on that,” he told Dissett presenter Reno Bugeja.
The journalist quickly pointed out the Freudian slip, to which an embarrassed commissioner quickly reacted by apologising and correcting himself.
