Ten months since Malta switched from the Lira to the Euro, HSBC is still advertising its services as operating in the Maltese lira.
International customers who accessed the HSBC website http://www.hsbc.com and checked into the global bank’s international operations last week were told that business accounts in Malta may be opened “in all major currencies in addition to the Maltese lira”.
