A better public transport service?

Recent press adverts, placed by the Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport & Communication (MITC), have been inviting readers to submit ideas on ways to improve the public transport service.
If this initiative is taken seriously and with commitment, commuters would expect that the Ministry embarks on new projects.
May I remind the MITC of some unfinished business: the installation of a new bus shelter in Joseph M Genuis Street, Vittoriosa; and the Notification of Development Permit No. PA 06183/06, which dates back to 9 October 2006.
Actions speak louder than words. It is about time that officials from the ADT or MITC put their cards on the table, stating the reasons for postponing this particular installation for two years.
We await your feedback now.
