Both Leo Brincat in the Kurt Sansone interview entitled ‘With hindsight’ (MaltaToday, November 21, 2004) and correspondent Eddie Privitera in his letter to the press titled ‘On Turning the clock back’ (MaltaToday, November 28, 2004) stated that the Malta Government should not ‘rush the debate on the EU Constitution for the year’s end’, (as previously promised by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi).
Since these two - and other - socialist personalities, now at loggerheads, agreed to the above, all the more reason that Hon Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi should get the EU Constitution debate over and done with before the end of year 2004.
