The HSBC Structured Funds SICAV p.l.c. (HSFs) held its third Annual General Meeting on 19 November 2004. The meeting approved the Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 July 2004 and re-appointed Professor Edward Scicluna as Chairman and Joseph D. Camilleri and Notary Clyde La Rosa as Directors of the Fund. The meeting also re-appointed KPMG as auditors.
Joseph D Camilleri, Director of HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Limited, gave a brief overview of recent developments in international capital markets and responded to a number of queries raised by the investors present. He also discussed the main features of the 6 funds within the Company, which offer full or partial capital protection as well as opportunities of growth linked to the performance of various indices.
Mr Kristian Cassar, Investments Manager, from HSBC Fund Management (Malta) Limited then gave investors present a detailed presentation regarding the performance of these funds over the past year. He also reviewed developments in the international equity markets, which have generally performed well and commented on the outlook for the next 12 months.
