It is all very well for Enemalta to moan about the losses it is incurring due to the high price of oil – yet is it doing its best to eliminate waste?
A case in point occurred on Tuesday 9 November 2004 when the promenade lights were still on after 7 a.m. I wonder how much of the reported more than Lm1.3 million spent on street lighting could be saved by more conscientious use?
