Where did the dogs Lm14,000 go?

We, the undersigned, are former helpers of Freddie Fenech. Following the recent articles that have appeared in the newspapers we would like to state that we had nothing to do with articles that have appeared so far.
However, we would also like to state that after dedicating several years of our time and love in the hope of improving conditions in the sanctuary, we finally quit because we did not like what we could see, or perhaps, could not see.
We, personally, ran our own fund-raising activities, for which we held meticulous accounts. With these funds we paid for the neutering of 77 of these dogs (females), and for buying bags of dry food for the sanctuary.
We have no knowledge as to how the Lm14,000 collected after an appeal to pay an outstanding water bill of Lm3,000, have been used. Nor have we ever been involved with any monies which were donated directly to Freddie. For these and other reasons we stopped all contact with Freddie last June. We are now publicly disassociating ourselves from the Association for Abandoned Animals.
