go mobile launches new prepaid tariff for avid SMS users

go mobile has introduced a new tariff - Ready To Go Text - ideal for those users who send a lot of SMS. This new tariff comes into effect on Sunday 17 October. Ready to go Text is a prepaid tariff and requires no contract plan obligations. Customers who subscribe to this tariff can avail themselves of bundles of 500 SMS at an advantageous rate, whilst retaining full control of their mobile telephony costs.
A bundle of 500 SMS costs Lm8 and is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. To benefit from these bundles, one must be subscribed to Ready to go Text. This amount will be automatically deducted from the prepaid account, which should have a balance of at least Lm8. Subscribers can buy as many bundles as they require, and new bundles will be added to any remaining SMS credit of the current bundle. Once a new bundle is purchased, the time window is extended to another 30 days. The remaining SMS in the bundle are lost only if they are not consumed within the extended 30-day period, unless another bundle is bought within those 30 days.
The use of Ready to go Text is not confined to customers of a certain age, and there is no age requirement since it is not tied to a contract tariff plan. The tariff applies only for go mobile customers who send SMS from Malta to users of local networks. This tariff cannot be used for premium-rated SMS and other go mobile services that are set at other charges. In Ready to go Text tariff plan, call rates are at 20 cents per minute. The SMS rate is 2 cents outside bundle.
“SMSing is very popular with the Maltese. go mobile felt the need to provide a new tariff plan that suits the requirements of SMS users who send hundreds of messages every month. For this reason, we have designed Ready to go Text to offer bundles of SMS at a reduced rate, open to all go mobile customers without the need of subscribing to a contract plan,” comments go mobile CEO Prof. Juanito Camilleri.
Prepaid subscribers who wish to register to Ready to go Text can send an SMS to 4400 containing the letter 'T'. This applies for the migration from the current prepaid tariffs (Ready to go and Ready to go Club) to Ready to go Text. The first registration to Ready to go Text is free of charge. However subsequent migrations between prepaid tariff plans will be charged at Lm1. To purchase a bundle of 500 SMS send an SMS to 4433 containing '500'. One can also check the SMS balance in the Ready to go Text bundle by sending a blank SMS to 4499.
