Melita Cable strengthens senior management team

In its bid to consolidate its market leadership position in both Home TV entertainment and Internet services, the Melita Group has strengthened its management team with the appointment of two new senior executives.
Franco de Gabriele, 34, has been appointed Head of Sales and Marketing for Melita Cable TV and Onvol. Mr de Gabriele will also be responsible for the launch of the upcoming Digital TV services that Melita Cable will introduce into the market in the first quarter of 2005.
Mario Psaila, 48, has been appointed as Melita’s Head of Finance and Corporate Services. Mr. Psaila will be responsible for the group’s Finance, HR and Administration Departments as well as overseeing corporate governance, compliance and risk management.
Melita Cable’s CEO J R Aquilina was enthusiastic about the appointments: “We have now complimented our existing strong Management Team with two experienced executives whose skills are well known in the industry. We are now better prepared to reap the benefits the market has to offer as well as meet the challenges ahead with determination. We have interesting plans for the future and our bid is to continue offering best-in-class service in the fields of Family Home Entertainment and Internet.”
