I refer to the ‘Open letter to the Preluna Hotel & Towers,’ 12 September 2004, by Mr. Philip M. Bonello of Paola.
I do not wish to respond to Mr. Bonello’s comments about the quality of the choice of house wine at the Preluna Hotel and Towers. I am sure that Delicata Wineries, the producers of Lachryma Vitis wine will want to respond themselves.
Instead, I wish to point out to Mr Bonello that we have offered Lachryma Vitis as a house wine for a long period and we are very happy to state that we have not had any negative comments until now.
To state that the hotel is letting down the country’s tourist industry by offering Lachryma Vitis as a house wine is utter nonsense and beggars belief.
As a standard rule, our bartenders do offer all of our customers a choice between a house wine and other wines.
