Scandal of Dar CC: it stinks

It is surprising that our Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi has been so prepared to stick his neck out to protect those that were responsible for the purchase of the Brussels property.
The real scandal pervading this matter is not so much the choice of architect or the nature of the property but the fact that the property was purchased by Cachia Caruana on behalf of the Maltese taxpayers for millions of liri more than the Belgian company bought it just months before.
This raises a number of other questions that should be investigated.
When did Cachia Caurana first set his sights on the property?
Was it before or after the Belgian company purchased the property?
Is there any connection between the Belgian company and Cachia Caruana?
The matter should be carefully investigated and we, the taxpayers, have a right to know.
In the meantime Gonzi would do well to heed the public outcry about this scandalous purchase. He should not have put his neck on the line like that and like he did for the golf courses. It stinks.
Gonzi, your time is up already!
