Malta’s poor water management

I live in Switzerland and this spring I took the decision to spend some holidays in Malta.
I had the great pleasure and honour to stay on the island of Gozo (at the L’Imgarr Hotel, Mgarr) and in the Meridien Phoenicia in Malta. I really enjoyed myself and I was struck by the beauty of your marvellous islands.
However at times my ecological ‘consciousness’ was hurt and upset by what I saw: the collection and cleansing of the rubbish, release of pollutants, procurement of drinking water, weak system of water distribution, corrosion of the canals and purification of used water.
For several years I have divided my time between informatics and hydrogeology. Thus the quality of the environment is something I hold very close to my heart. The fight against pollution, the improvement of the quality of life for people (eg air, water, and way of life).
I have undergone specific training in the management and maintenance of water resources and I feel very strongly about the relation between the physical/chemical environment and their impact on living creatures.
Because of this I was moved to write to you and offer this proposal. I would be very happy to be able to collaborate with your country with any kind of consultancy. If my proposal interests anybody please note I hold dual Swiss - French nationality and passport and my curriculum vitae would sent to anybody who would ask on my
