In a further attempt to discredit and create doubts about the integrity of Nationalist Party officials MaltaToday published an article entitled ‘The Staff List revealed by MaltaToday’ in its edition dated Sunday 15 August 2004. Within this article it was stated erroneously and damagingly, that a person sharing my surname is my wife.
I categorically deny that my wife works, or is planning to work as a technical attaché’ responsible for environmental issues in Brussels. Furthermore I wish to state that my wife does not hold any position with the Maltese Government Mission abroad as alleged in the article.
It is an insult to the intelligence of its readers, that MaltaToday found my surname on a list sourced from the Internet, and stated as fact, that this person is my wife. On one hand, it shows the amateur way in which the MaltaToday conducts its research, however, on the other hand, it could also be an attempt to present PN party officials in a dark light.
Instead of trying to discredit PN party officials, it would be more appreciated if the editor of the MaltaToday explained his reasons for this consistent campaign of untruths against said party officials.
I reserve the right to take further action to protect my integrity and reputation, as well as those of my wife.
