Over 600 companies join discount scheme

One of the biggest ever discount schemes in Malta’s history is now underway with over 600 companies currently signed up and more joining all the time.
Launched by Info Express, the scheme gives card holders the opportunity to benefit from special prices, discounts and unique offers in a huge variety of locations ranging from book shops to beauty salons and from butchers to fashion outlets.
Card holders can also make substantial savings on services including, amongst many others, skip hire, tile laying, furniture moving and wedding planning. But the card is not all about work – there are also numerous leisure savings to be made.
“Life is not just about what you need but also about what makes you happy. For that reason our scheme includes more than 50 restaurants as well as leisure pursuits like scuba diving, horse riding and go-karting. We even have a fortune teller in the scheme if anybody fancies a look into the future...” a spokesman for Info Express explained.
In order to take advantage of the discounts, people need to buy a member’s card which is now on sale at over 100 outlets in Malta and Gozo. The price of the card is just Lm3.99 and it is valid for a year from the date of purchase.
“There are card holders who have already saved hundreds of pounds by using our card in the first few weeks of joining. And they have many more months of savings to go,” the spokesman added.
Info Express is a specialised business directory service which operates a unique mobile freephone – 800 66 247 – on which callers can phone and request details of all its member companies.
A website containing the same detailed information – www.infoexpressmalta.com – was recently launched for those who prefer to view the member companies’ listings on their computer.
“We have received thousands of requests for information on both the freephone and website since we launched. People like the flexibility of our service and the ease of use,” the spokesman said.
“The discount scheme was the next logical step as it helps us generate even more business for our clients while simultaneously helping the public to save money at a time when every cent is precious.”
Info Express is also in the process of launching a Guest card for tourists allowing visitors to Malta to enjoy the same benefits as local but for a shorter period of time.
Info Express can be contacted on 2131 4239 or 2131 5130
