Fort Chambray, should have been retained by government

In my opinion, a historical building like Fort Chambray should have been retained by the government as an owner.
The Housing Authority could have done a better job if it had taken the initiative to enter into the shoes of the outgoing shareholders. The Housing Authority would have offered a great number of housing units to our Gozitan and Maltese young couples at a very reasonable price.
The government preferred instead to favour the few at the expense of the taxing public.
The project appears to be a “mammoth” project. So it was called. In reality it is nothing more than a great opportunity to make quick money out of public property. This is not the first story of its kind. Good luck to the favoured.
