The seat belt law is now fully in force. But it is obvious its enforcement is lacking. If it was introduced for passengers‚ safety, why is it then that it is not being enforced? I have made it a point to strap my kids from day one.
However, they keep complaining that other kids are allowed to ride with no seatbelt. This is making it difficult for me to explain convincingly. Failing to stop those who don’t comply, gives the message: ‘You don’t need to wear it!’ Maybe the wardens could take note of this. Dorianne Calleja
