Marsovin launches first Gozitan Premium wine

Marsovin is now producing its Gold award winning Premium wine, Antonin Blanc 2003 entirely from its own private estate - the Ramla Valley estate in Gozo.
The yield from this vineyard for the 2003 vintage was 18,495 bottles. Marsovin has produced the premium wine from Chardonnay grapes grown exclusively on the island of Gozo, and it is thus a wine which all Gozitans should be proud of.
Once harvested from the Ramla valley estate the wine is fermented in oak barrels for twelve weeks. It is a full and round wine in the mouth with aromas of sweet vanilla and burnt toast which gives way to citrus and apple notes on the palate.
A special wine tasting night of this particular wine was held at the Ramla Valley Estate yesterday. The specific event was organised exclusively for Gozitan restaurateurs, hotel owners and managers in an informal atmosphere in Marsovin’s idyllic vineyards where one and all enjoyed the true pleasures of this distinctive wine, which for this particular occasion was be accompanied by typical Mediterranean delicacies.
The Ramla valley estate is one of five estates which Marsovin own. Each estate is responsible for producing grapes for the Marsovin range of premium wines. The evening was addressed by the Marsovin Chairman Tony Cassar, who briefed guests on Marsovin’s philosophy and investment in its premium wines and estates.
