Global Financial Services Group plc has appointed Simon Anastasi as Chief Executive – Insurance Services for the Global Financial Services Group plc.
In his capacity as Chief Executive – Insurance Services, Mr Anastasi will oversee the operation of the insurance division of the Global Financial Services Group plc, which includes, British American Insurance Co. (Malta) Ltd, BUPA Agencies Ltd and MY Insurance Brokers Ltd.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Anastasi was Managing Director of BUPA Agencies Ltd and has also held a number of senior and executive roles in insurance and financial institutions both locally as well as overseas. Mr. Anastasi is a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Insurance and also holds a degree in Financial Services awarded by the University of Central England in Birmingham. He is a member of the Global Group’s executive committee and is a director on various boards within the Global Group.
Mr Anastasi comments, “This is a very challenging role, particularly in view of the fact that my responsibilities encompass three separate and distinct companies falling within the insurance division of the Global Group. Through my role as Chief Executive – Insurance Services, I will oversee the operation of these companies and ensure that they will positively contribute to the profits of the Global Group”.
Global Financial Services Group plc employs just over 100 employees and is listed on the Malta Stock Exchange. In January 2003, Globe Holding Ltd merged its investment services operations with the local life assurance and private health insurance operations of British American Insurance Co. (Mtius) Ltd. This merger has enabled the Group to broaden its range of services, which now includes investment services, fund advisory services, insurance services and property management services.
