In a lacklustre and drawn out televised election process Dr Tonio Borg was yesterday elected deputy leader of the Nationalist Party last night. Borg received 737 votes equivalent to 90 percent of the total votes cast. There were 66 votes against and 15 invalid votes. Dr Borg was declared deputy leader in the presence of both Dr Fenech Adami and Dr Gonzi.
