The Malta Tourism Authority participated, jointly with Air Malta, at te BIT travel fair held in Milan earlier this month. Participating in the fair were 5,000 exhibitors from all over the world, with 129,000 visitors, 87,000 of whom were trade professionals.
During the fair Tourism Minister Dr Francis Zammit Dimech, MTA Chairman Dr John C. Grech and Chairman of the MTA’s Marketing and Promotion Directorate Chris Grech - together with MTA Regional Director Mr Dominic Micallef and Air Malta officials - held talks with major Italian tour operators and conference organisers.
