BOV phone, internet banking services hit 1.5m transaction mark

Over 1.5 million transactions were affected through the channels forming Bank of Valletta’s 24x7 Banking Services Package since their launch just over a year ago.
The encouraging statistics show that these channels - Internet Banking, Call Centre Banking, Telephone Banking and the recently launched Mobile Banking - are witnessing a surge in popularity. Customer take up is also on the increase and more and more BOV customers are today banking securely, making use of the BOV Securekey, whenever and from wherever it is convenient to them.
Bank of Valletta also announced this week that over the one-month period since its launch, customers have effected over 1,000 transactions through the BOV Mobile Banking channel. The trend is very encouraging and is expected to continue to gain momentum, especially now that the number of WAP enabled phones in circulation is increasing at a fast pace.
Bank of Valletta is to continue to invest heavily in IT with a view to sustain its commitment to spearhead innovation in this area, within its overall strategy of increasing value to customers. Over the coming weeks, the Bank is expected to announce other new functionalities through its Alternative Delivery Channels.
