Celebrating ‘celebration’ without the MCAST senior management

Mary Grace Bongailas
Zabbar

This is the first time that I ever chose to write in a newspaper. I am doing so because I really feel that the students and members of staff of the Institute of Business and Commerce, deserve all the possible praise for their successful commitment during the fantastic event by the name of ‘Celebration.’ The event was a fabulous mixture of music, dance, culture, literature, talent and entertainment.
All students and members of staff did their very best to give us a fantastic three hour experience filled with very good talent in soloist singers, choir singing and dance against a marvellous background of well managed lights and other effects. The concert organist Claire Balluci gave a splendid guest performance throughout the event.
Having said this, it is a real pity that the MCAST senior management was nowhere to be seen. The work being done by the administration and staff of the ‘Institute of Business and Commerce’ needs to be given more publicity as it is making MCAST proud. That is why I feel it is not fair on the staff and students not to have anybody from the MCAST management present for this event to witness the highly motivated and dynamic staff and students.
I am really proud to be in one way or the other linked to the ‘Institute of Business and Commerce.’ ‘Celebration’ continued to make me feel even more proud. A special word of thanks goes to Mr Josef Buttigieg, the Institute’s deputy director whose name was nowhere to be mentioned during the event, but without whose initiative and dedication this event would not have even started let alone be such a fantastic success.
Well done to all students and staff who took part and organised the event.
