Salvu Mallia and ‘Delitti F’Malta’
Salvu
Mallia
Bugibba
I would
like to make it very clear to all those televiewers who have been enjoying
my work, both as a script writer and director in the highly successful
television drama, ‘Delitti f’Malta’ on PBS, that due
to disagreements with the production house I have resigned my post.
As from episode 12, featuring the murder of Grezz Attard (Bormla, December
1928), others are responsible both for the scripting and the directing
as can be ascertained from the credits.
It is unfortunate that, as soon as I resigned, the production house
tried to diminish the importance of my dedicated work in those episodes
– against all professional ethics – by reducing the exposure
of my name as writer/director in the credits, featuring it less prominently
than that of the extras.
Today, after viewing episode 12, transmitted Monday 29. December 2003
I feel compelled, to protect the good reputation I have always enjoyed
in this field, both as a writer and as a director, to publicly disassociate
myself both from the scripting and directing of aforementioned teleserial
as from episode 12 onwards.
